Mind over Matter

First up, this was taken with my digital camera, therefore the lines are sadly blurred and some diligent line work will be unappreciated, which makes me cry.

First started in grade eleven, five or so years ago. I had worked on it and finished maybe one-third, and quit. It originally was intended to have four different media incorporated into it, but once I had begun designing it, I couldn't bear to wreck it with too complex things, which made me procrastinate and I never bothered to finish it...

until recently. I found it in an old art collection, scrutinized it, considered completing it, cut off a portion of the paper, and set to work, finishing it all in one day, which was roughly half the work in terms of size. All done with pens, india ink, paint, and whiteout.

The grade eleven-me was thinking more random design technique, which you can see on the left side. The new-me added a lot of imagery with a meaning (most notably in the puzzle pieces, sky images, bugs, spiderwebs).
